Cajeput is high in cineol, indicating its usefulness for the respiratory system. Also useful in pain relieving blends against neuralgia, gout, sciatica, rheumatism and the like. May help reduce itching on the skin. It has a pleasant, slightly sweeter, eucalyptus-like aroma.
It has a fresh, camphorous, slightly fruity, and medicinal aroma — often described as a softer, sweeter cousin of Tea Tree with eucalyptus-like qualities. Clean and penetrating.
It blends well with other top notes like Eucalyptus, Peppermint, or Lavender, and pairs nicely with middle notes like Rosemary or Marjoram. Commonly used in respiratory, immune support, and pain relief blends.
