Good for the respiratory system. A distinct cineol-rich oil, but with more calming attributes compared to Eucalyptus. This makes it an excellent choice for nighttime chest rubs and diffusion. Myrtle has been reported to be effective against head lice and nits.
It has a fresh, clean, camphoraceous aroma with sweet, floral, and slightly herbaceous undertones — somewhat robust and more complex than Eucalyptus, with a distinctive honey-like aroma.
Often overlooked but deeply valued by experienced aromatherapists — particularly for respiratory support and skin care. Pairs beautifully with top notes like Bergamot, Lavender, or Lemon, and base notes like Frankincense, Cedarwood, or Sandalwood.
