It is gentler and more refined than ct. cineole, with less camphor sharpness and a more complex, nuanced character. The most prized and expensive of the rosemary chemotypes.
Highly valued in skin care and hair care applications for its mucolytic and cell-regenerating properties — it's the rosemary chemotype of choice for facial serums, scalp treatments, and mature skin formulations. Pairs beautifully with top notes like Lavender, Bergamot, or Lemon, and base notes like Frankincense, Helichrysum, or Cedarwood. A more sophisticated, skin-focused alternative to ct. cineole.
⚠️ Same cautions apply: avoid during pregnancy, with children under 6, and use with care for those with epilepsy. This verbenone type is generally considered gentler than ct. camphor but should still be used at appropriate dilutions.
