Also known as "The Australian Sandalwood", it is a bit lighter than the traditional Santalum album variety with a nice subtle sweetness. With somewhat higher yield during distillation, it is a good value for many applications.
Santalum spicatum (Australian) is a more sustainable and increasingly respected alternative with a slightly drier, earthier profile.
